Winn’s Summer Schedule…
Many churches practically fold up for the summer. Here at Winn’s, we are wide open! Below is a list of opportunities and dates of what we will be offering this summer in addition to our normal Sunday morning schedule!
Women’s Ministry
A 13 week Bible Study, “Adorned”, by Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth
May 3rd – July 26th from 6:30 to 8:00 in Rooms 108-109.
Children’s Summer Programs
“WOW” (Winn’s on Wednesday’s) is for rising 1st-5th grade students
When: Wednesday, June 28th, July 5th, July 12th, July 19th, July 26th, August 2nd and August 16th
Where: Fellowship Hall
Time: 6:30-8:00
“Terrific Tuesday’s” is for completed 1st – 7th grade students
When: Tuesday, July 11th, July 18th, July 25th,
August 1st and August 15th
Where: Foyer/Welcome Center
Time: 10:00-2:00
**Children’s Camp June 19th – June 23rd**
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL is for 4 years old through completed 7th grade
When: August 7th – August 11th
Time: 6:30-8:30
Youth Summer Program
This is for rising 6th through 12th grade
When: Wednesday, June 28th, July 5th, July 19th,
July 26th, August 2nd and August 16th.
Where: Sanctuary
Time: 6:30-8:00
**Youth camp is July 10th – July 14th**
Self Sufficiency Seminars
When: Wednesday, June 28th, July 5th, July 12th, July 19th, July 26th, August 2nd and August 16th
Where: Basement – Room B3
Time: 6:30-8:00
Super Summer Sunday Nights
We will be meeting on two Sunday nights for an abbreviated church service where we sing out of the hymnals and then listen to a short message from Pastor Paul. Afterwards, we go up the hill for good old fashion summer fun, treats, and fellowship. These are scheduled for Sunday, June 25th and Sunday, July 30th.
A Sunday Morning on the Hill
Our church thrived during Covid, due in part to the ability to hold outdoor services on our beautiful property across the road. To commemorate and celebrate God’s goodness, we hold a service there each summer. This year the date will be July 2nd at 9:30. No Sunday school or nursery on that day.
River Baptism
When: Sunday, August 20
Where: Home of Wally & Vivian Denton
Join us for a 10:30 combined service at the church, and then travel over to the baptism site for a short baptism service. (Directions will be provided)
Everyone is encouraged to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the banks of the beautiful South Anna River!
